The morning I stood at my easel to start this painting I had been studying Classical Chinoiserie. The back right corner where I began to develop layers and shadow of course in traditional Florida landscape. Someone came to pick work and as she left I read about the State park proposals. What continued was nothing short of Spiritual in every sense. Patty Griffin streaming in and every desire to give every critter and every tree a voice. I love wild Florida and you can surely feel that standing in front of every one of these works. We got Creekoiserie but it sure is exactly right xx

I think this painting maybe my new favorite, which makes it harder to part with. But I know it's got a home and I'm excited to see where it goes.
