- DO YOU ACCEPT COMMISSIONS?
Occasionally. It mostly depends on the timing but, it never hurts to ask. During peak production and seasons we simply can not consider them. Because of the nature of the work that we do and how long the average process takes from beginning to end truly every order is very personal and a bit of a commission.
- ARE YOUR CERAMICS FOOD SAFE? CAN THEY GO IN THE DISHWASHER? OVEN?
Yes, yes and yes! Although I personally recommend hand-washing, it just prolongs the life and ware of the piece. Porcelain is a wonderful conductor of heat and exceptionally durable. Items with gold however, may not be microwaved.
- WHERE ARE YOUR DISHES MADE? WHAT ARE THEY MADE OF?
All work is made by hand in our Downtown Studio in a way that is not only intentional but with a desire not to overproduce or make work that is unnecessary. All aspects of our work are intentional. Work is made of a fine Porcelain or Stoneware, the desicion is made based on the technique being used or some other defining factor. Simply put there are many things to consider, both clay bodies are unique and of the highest quality. All glazes are lead free.
- HOW DO I KNOW IF SOMETHING IS READY TO SHIP OR MADE TO ORDER? HOW LONG UNTIL IT ARRIVES?
Items in the SHOP are ready to ship. These one of a kind pieces are ready to mail and will be sent out within a week of your purchase. We try and keep a handful of these items in stock so there is an ability to purchase for the here and now. If the SHOP is empty rest assured we are working on new items to fill it back up again!
Because our studio has no desire to overproduce and every desire to get you exactly what you need, the majority of work is MADE TO ORDER. Orders received will be added to the current list of existing orders. This can take time depending on the current work load. Production times range from 4-8 weeks, but can be significantly longer at peak seasons. Feel free to email us with any shipping questions or for a projected ship date. You will be contacted if an order has been placed that requires extra care or time. Please use the comment section for special needs pertaining to your order.
We will try our best to accommodate all orders. You may reach out to us at any time concerning your current order.
- HOW IS MY ORDER CONFIRMED? CAN IT BE CANCELLED?
All orders are confirmed via email once they are processed. Orders with special instructions etc. will be confirmed and followed up with a phone call if needed to verify and ensure communication. Orders cannot be cancelled once they are processed. We make everything to order and glaze everything accordingly that is ready to ship. Generally we get started on all aspects of your order straight away.
- HOW IS MY ORDER SHIPPED?
Within the U.S. via USPS based on automatic calculations by the Shopping Cart.
Outside the U.S. via DHL. An estimate of cost and transit time will be given.
*Please contact us directly to discuss orders needing to ship outside the Continental US.
Tracking will be provided on all orders via email once the order has SHIPPED.
Insurance will be automatically added to all orders.
- CAN YOU DO EXPEDITE SHIPPING?
On items in the SHOP we will certainly try to expedite S&H, but it will depend on several factors. There will be additional cost that will need to be estimated and these will be the responsibility of the buyer.
Orders that need to be made to order in any capacity simply cannot be rushed. For this reason these orders will not be expedited.
Only items in the SHOP can be exchanged or have a store credit for the original purchase amount within 10 days of receipt.
Made to Order/Custom items cannot be returned.
Items Damaged in S&H
Rarely does it happen that items get damaged in the post but in the even that it does there are some pretty timely and specific ways that claims must be handled. Please hang onto all your packaging etc and contact us within 24 hours of arrival. Because replacement pieces will need to be exchanged and remade entirely they have to be worked into the current orders and take time.
*Shipping and Handling fees are non-refundable. We do not cover return S&H costs. All returns must be insured for the total value of the piece.
- EXCHANGES? WHY DON'T YOU PRIORITIZE EXCHANGES?
Only on hand, SHOP items can be exchanged or have a store credit for the original purchase amount within 10 days of receipt.
Made to Order/Custom items cannot be exchanged.
Simply put we are not a big box store and our methods of purpose in work and making simply do not lend to products being reabsorbed or refunded. For this reason we do ask that you take time and consideration before making your purchase.
In order to work toward everyone receiving their order on time, our studio produces work in the order in which they were received. Since most items are made-to-order, we produce a limited number of pieces each week. This means that prioritizing certain work results in others falling behind in line. We will do our best to produce your order as quickly as possible.

- DO YOU ALLOW VISITORS AT THE STUDIO? CAN WE PURCHASE WORK WHILE WE ARE IN TOWN?
On average, yes, please come by! However, you will need to schedule your visit during our business hours, in advance. Communicate with us via email and we will do our best to accommodate. Come see how everything is made and take something back home!
We regreat that Holiday and Peak Production times will enable our ability to accommodate visits at all.
