WORKSHOP // with Amy Armstrong

Handbuilding in Porcelain &  Printing Patterns on clay

Amy and I have been working side by side for the last month or so and we invite you to come and hand build with us.  We will be talking about pattern and layering glaze first to create a newsprint bold pattern background much like a printmaking process. Next we will hand build a bud vase and cover it in the patterns we designed. Lastly, we will talk about everyday clippings to display in your vase once it is sitting in your windowsill. Everyone will get a packet of seeds filled with herbs, and wildflowers to grow for fresh clippings all Spring long!  This is approximately a two hour workshop that will include all supplies and cost $55 each.  There is limited space at this workshop.

4th Annual Driveway Sale

The wonderful day where our studio driveway is lined with some of our towns most talented makers, growers, artist & friends.  This year the sale falls on April 1st from 10-2pm.  We do not accept early birds and the sale will wind down promptly at closing time.  For the most part this is a cash only sale.  Please walk or ride your bike if you are close, street parking is available as well.  This years sale includes plants, seeds and flowers by the talented Amy Armstrong. One of a kind children's clothes handmade by Alanna Darling.  Fine art jewelry and folded sterling silver by Vicki Dubose.  Cedar woodwork apothecary cabinets by Phil Dexheimer and Hand+built artist illustrated ceramics by Amanda Dexheimer.  There will be snacks and lemonade to raise money for Ayla's Acres Pet Rescue.  Too much goodness to possibly name it all.  This is a beautiful time of community and supporting those who use their hands to do what they love each day.  I always look forward to seeing new and familiar faces at this spring sale, it draws a great crowd and we hope to see you there!
